Exam Pattern: What to Expect
The IPMAT Rohtak exam is a 2-hour (120 minutes) computer-based test. Unlike the Indore variant, Rohtak traditionally features three equal sections with multiple-choice questions (MCQs):
- Quantitative Ability: 40 Questions
- Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions
- Verbal Ability: 40 Questions
Pro Tip: Each correct answer carries +4 marks, while an incorrect answer results in a -1 mark penalty. While there are 120 questions in total, the institute usually enforces a 40-minute sectional time limit for each part.
Selection Process & Weightage
Simply clearing the exam isn’t enough; IIM Rohtak uses a composite score for final admission. The weightage breakdown is typically:
- IPMAT Score: 45%
- Personal Interview (PI): 15%
- Past Academics (10th & 12th): 40%
